Champion Trainer Waller To Run Foreteller 3.50 Favourite

Champion trainer Chris Waller will saddle multiple Doomben Cup starters, and his five runners combined are only slightly shorter than the race favourite.

Online bookmaker is offering $3.50 for any Waller runner, Foreteller ($10), Hawskpur ($15), I’m Imposing ($9.00), Moriarty ($15), or Weary ($21) to win the Group 1. The Gai Waterhouse trained Pornichet heads Cup betting at $4.00 over Leebaz and both have been well backed.

Interstate and trans-Tasman invaders dominate the 0-1 races and $34 to train 6 or more.

The Tony Gollan trained Temple Of Boom is the shortest priced local in the BTC Cup at $26. Ironically, former Queenslander Our Boy Malachi ($2.80) is the heavily backed favourite ahead of Srikandi ($5.50).

“Waller usually has big numbers in the big races, but for most of his Doomben Cup runners their best days are behind them,’’ said’s Christian Jantzen.
