Memory Of Nathan Berry Lives On In The West

Nathan’s Courage, the horse named after the late jockey Nathan Berry, looks set to win again tomorrow night in the opening race at Gloucester Park.

Part-owned by champion jockey Tommy Berry and named in honour of his twin brother, online bookmaker has no doubt about the quality of the pacer and has the two-year-old as a $1.60 favourite.

Nathan’s Courage, who carries the 4tracks 4kids colours, won the Western Australian heat of the Breeders Crown.

He is $31 to win the Australasian final for colts and geldings and $31 to win a Group 1 this year or 2016.

“Tommy bought into the horse because it was by Courage Under Fire and he wanted a horse to remember Nathan by. It appears the family is going to get plenty of joy out of the gelding, he won impressively on debut and is tipped to have a bright future,’’ said’s Will Byrne.
